If you are currently at this port, you need to know that the distance from the port to Gilimanuk Bali is 50 km, so if you use a ferry it can be reached in 45 minutes. You also have to know the departure schedule for the ferry on the Ketapang-Gilimanuk route, which is always there every day. The service runs every 30 minutes. The arrival schedule is adjusted to around 45 minutes after departure.
For adult passengers, you have to pay IDR 6,500 and children IDR 4,500. Bicycle crossings are IDR 7,500, motorbikes IDR 24,000, 500 cc motorbikes IDR 37,000 and class 4 passenger vehicles are IDR 159,000 and class 4 goods vehicles are IDR 141,000. Public Bus Banyuwangi to Denpasar Bali
Are you heading straight to Denpasar..? Try to take a direct bus from Ketapang to Denpasar Bali, you can find the bus waiting for the passengers nearby the entrance. It is easy to find as it has big sign at the front window written Denpasar. Just get on the bus to negotiate the price directly to the driver. A Regular Bus to Denpasar mostly cost between IDR 90.000-150.000 per person. The price has already included the ferry ticket, so you don't have to buy ferry ticket anymore.
Taking a bus from Banyuwangi will save your time than getting a bus from Gilimanuk Bus Station as it is located 20 minutes walk from the ferry port. If you do not go to Denpasar, just take the ferry and find the bus at Gilimanuk Bus Station.
Taxi and private driver to Bali
A Regular Bus taking longer time to travel as it stops almost everyplace along the street to pick up passengers. For less hassle you can take a taxi or private driver, there are many drivers offering you a private driver service when you arrive at Gilimanuk Port. There are no fix price, you have to negotiate directly with the driver. Sometimes the negotiation was not going very well, we highly recommend to book a private driver in advance so that you don't have to waste time to negotiate the price.
